The Institute of Biomedical Technologies I.T.B.

The ITB became a National Institute on May 17th 2002.

The headquarters of the Institute are within the premises of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Biomedical Technologies L.I.T.A., Via F.lli Cervi 93, Segrate Milan.

The Institute research activities are: Human Genome, Proteomics and Nanotechnologies, Epidemiology and Medical Informatics, Degenerative Diseases.

The I.T.B. has also two branch sections and a branch Operational Unit. The branch sections are "Biochemistry of Metalproteins" of Padua, and "Bioinformatics and Genomics" of Bari; the branch Operational Unit deals with "Immunobiology and Cellular Differentiation"
